Wilson and Brannon adapted to the Blackforest GS FR500C Mustang very quickly. The first and only seat time in the car came at Daytona for both. It was immediately obvious the chemistry was there for a successful outing. Aaron Kirlin was their car chief at Daytona and will once again be working with them at Homestead for race number two.
"Chris and Stan came into the garage early everyday. They helped with the car, provided feedback about the setup, and practiced everything including over an hour of driver changes." It was fun working with these two guys at Daytona, and I look forward to helping them achieve their goals at Homestead," said Kirlin.
Brannon and Wilson are no strangers to sports car racing, but their excitement about the Grand-Am Koni Challenge Series is visually evident. They are ready to be a part of the Koni Challenge Series full time and if funding allows, that is their full intention for the 2008 season and beyond.
"Wow! I knew it would be a thrill to race in the Grand-Am Koni Challenge Series with a team like Blackforest, but Stan and I are working very diligently to secure the funding needed to turn this two time opportunity into a season long habit. This series is addictive, and if you have not been out to one of these races, you owe it to yourself to attend one in person," said Chris Brannon.
