The team will drive a Ford Racing FR500C Mustang fielded by Multimatic Motorsports, which in 2005 campaigned the car that won the Grand Am Cup GS Championship with drivers Scott Maxwell and David Empringham.
"Sebastien has received many awards in recognition of his many championships over the years, but we wanted to offer him something truly unique that he'd be sure to remember," said Dan Davis, director of Ford Racing Technology.
"Having the chance to spend time with your father doing something you both love is something I think we all can appreciate. I can assure you that they'll have a very fast Mustang and a great team campaigning the car. All they have to do is go out and have fun - and I'm sure they will."
Sebastien Bourdais is fresh off capturing back-to-back (2004-2005) championships in the Champ Car World Series. In 2005, Bourdais, driving the No. 1 McDonald's Ford-Lola-Bridgestone, won six races and five poles, both series' bests, and earned podium finishes in seven of 13 Champ Car races.
Patrick Bourdais won the 1991 French Renault Clio Cup Championship. He is an eight-time LeMans participant. For the past two years he has driven at LeMans for the Panoz Motor Sports team.
