Mystery Mustang Spotted in Dearborn

The 2009 North American International Auto Show may bring more Mustang news than just the anticipated release of the 2010 Mustang GT500 model.
Brian Williams, working for Detroit's top secret stalker, Brendy Priddy, has captured a 2010 Mustang variant that her widely informed sources know of, or are talking about.
Wearing Michigan "M" plates (M is for Manufacturer) , the model shown is presumably a Ford property. The pattern of the fencing in the background suggests that the location is on the perimeter of the old Ford test track in Dearborn. Spy shots don't get any more genuine than this.

The single tailpipe confirms this to be a V6 model, so one intelligent guess is that the "Pony Package" option will be continued into the new model, and it looks like this.
This version sports quarter window louvers and a tail light blackout panel, in addition to revised "hockey stick" stripes along the sides.
Since this particular model sports no camoflage at all, it is likely a minor production variation, such as the Pony Package. Still, it looks good - the tail light blackout does wonders for the back end - and we'll be watching for it during the NAIAS, which arrives in less than three weeks.
C'mon... Santa is history... let's move on!
