Racers Celebrate Mustang 45th
The 45th anniversary of the Ford Mustang is today and while the focal point of the celebration will be a four-day celebration at Barber Motorsports Park outside Birmingham, AL, Mustangs across the country will be doing what Mustang does best — race.
As part of Mustang's 45th and to allow the Mustang racers everywhere to participate in the celebration, Ford Racing has created a special 45th Anniversary decal for Mustang racers in all series to run on their Mustangs this weekend.
"While a lot of the excitement surrounding the 45th Mustang Anniversary will be at Barber Motorsports Park, we at Ford Racing wanted to include the Mustang racing community at large in the celebration," said Jamie Allison manager of the Ford Racing Performance Group.

"Mustangs will be competing in a dozen different series this weekend, ranging from the SCCA events across the country, to the NHRA in Atlanta and, of course, the Mustang Challenge at the 45th celebration in Alabama."
"The 45th logo decal is an opportunity for Mustang racers no matter where they are to unite in celebrating this Mustang milestone."
In Atlanta, where the NHRA Full Throttle Series will hold the Southern Nationals, all four Ford-powered Mustangs of John Force Racing, as well as the entries from Bob Tasca Racing and Tim Wilkerson Racing, will carry the Mustang Anniversary logo in several strategic locations, including a larger Mustang Anniversary logo on the rear window.
