That's Mustang... Ford Mustang
by CP Staff
In spite of our unending love for the pony car, there are many other cars out there that would instantly be granted a spot in our driveway, were they anywhere close to affordable.
The Aston Martin Vantage, for example, is a spectacular example of modern automotive design, a hand-crafted sports car that offers exceptional performance, outstanding agility and everyday usability. It was also featured, in modified form, in the James Bond movie Die Another Day, where its trick arsenal of guns and rockets dealt nasty deals to the opposition.
How cool would it be to have your own version? Actually, you can and the price tag is somewhat reasonable because this car is based on a... Mustang.

OK, so the $126K ding may not be something that you'll just shake out of your old jeans, but its a lot less than a new Vantage. Exclusive Motor Cars of British Columbia, Canada, starts with a 2000-2003 Mustang GT donor car and strips it bare. The wheelbase is lengthened and the tracks are widened.
A Ford crate motor replaces the original and an upgraded transmission is added. A 16-piece composite body kit is installed, along with a 23-piece interior package, to complete the transformation from pony to exotic car. A hand made 6-piece glass kit comes next along with a 12-piece lighting package.
To get the car up and running with both style and competence, a Vortec supercharger has been added, along with a K-W coil over suspension and a big brake package. Extra details, such as interior leathers that would satisfy Aston-Martin, unique hardware and, of course, the spy package come next.
Grill-mounted rockets and machine guns add distinction to this Vantange replica, along with the hood mounted pop-up guns. Well, its all in good fun, but you'd have a worthy vehicle project even without them.
