Click and McGovern to Contest Miller Cup

Mike McGovern will race in one of two new Ford Mustang FR500S race cars delivered to Jim Click Racing at the beginning of this month.

The spec cars are slated for a new race series, the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup, which will be sanctioned by the Grand American Road Racing Association.

Click, owner of Jim Click Racing, purchased the vehicles for the series in red and blue paint schemes. The pair plan to compete in the entire eight-race series, which begins on May 3 at Road Atlanta.

"Jim and I will race against one another in this series," said McGovern. Click is a graduate of the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving.



Jim Click Competed in five KONI Challenge Series GS races with best finish of eighth twice. Click owns car dealerships in Tucson, AZ. His passion for racing started with the purchase of several racecars with incredible history, including a 1966 Ford GT-40 and 1974 Chevron, which finished second in class at Le Mans.

Mike McGovern has previously competed in NASA, SCCA, Motorola Cup, IMCA and NASCAR competition. Since 1990, he has been the chief driving instructor for Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving.
