Well, just as the hubbub over the Dodge Challenger begins to settle down, the Internet is once again a-flutter with spy pictures of the next-to-come Chevrolet Camaro.
The example you see here was apparently caught in the open, without any kind of camoflage at all - save for a coat of black paint against a high contrast landscape of snow.
GM's entry into the Ponycar market is scheduled to begin production around the end of this year and to be available in showrooms early next year, similar to the anticipated timing of the next Mustang update.

That this particular vehicle lacks even the most basic attempt at modesty should suggest that the sighting was far from serendiptious. Rather, it seems more like a well-timed publicity stunt.
General Motors has never been overly secretive about the Camaro's design at the conceptual level, nor with photos of pre-production models, such as the one below. Very little is expected to change from a styling viewpoint between many months ago and the upcoming final release.
Recently, GM told its dealers that there would not be a Pontiac Firebird version. We're unsure where this particular tempest in a teaspoon came from, since that has been GM's position since the very beginning. Ah well...
