Now being built in GM's Oshawa, Ontario assembly plant, this batch of 2010 Camaros is intended for test fleet use. Retail builds will begin on March 16th, for shipment to your dealer. Above, body panel stampings are built into body shells with the tireless assistance of robotic welders.

After electrocoat painting, the body is inspected for any paint defects. Small repairs can be conducted inline with the flow of cars.

Painted bodies move on to have wiring, glass and interior components installed.

Engines are assembled in another location and shipped whole to Oshawa. This one has a destiny already planned by some enthusiast.

Soon enough, the engine meets up with this front and rear subframe carrier. Additional driveline and underhood components are installed.

When the body descends and the subframes rise, a pony car is born. There's still plenty of final assembly work to do.

But, before you know it, there is a car that has to report to the testing stations.

With testing complete and all quality checks passed, it is time for this Camaro SS to head for the staging yard.
