Miller Cup Kicks Off March 1
Officials for the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires announced that the official series launch will take place at Miller Motorsports Park on Saturday, March 1.
At that time, approximately 25 examples of the brand-new Ford Mustang FR500S will be delivered to their new owners. The event will include seminars on car set-up (Ford Racing engineers and MMP development team); the BFGoodrich g-Force R1 tires (BFGoodrich engineers); technical inspection (series technical manager); data acquisition system (AIM engineer); series rules and details (series race director); plus series registration.
A group photo shoot is planned for all delivered cars and their owners, and the Larry H. Miller Auto Museum, which houses part of MMP owner Larry Miller’s significant collection of Ford-powered cars, will be open for tours.

"We are really excited to deliver these new Mustangs to their new owners," said series director Lynda Randall. "The response to the series has been phenomenal, and I know that people are anxious to get their hands on these cars so they can get ready to go racing."
"The series launch event should be both fun and informative, and will be a great kick-off to what we hope will be a very competitive inaugural season."
The Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires will be an eight-round series utilizing the new Ford Mustang FR500S fitted with BFGoodrich g-Force R1 tires.
The series, which will be sanctioned by the Grand American Road Racing Association, will consist of eight races during the 2008 season.
